Babies and Toddlers - Prevention of Baby Crying
Most young babies appreciate the comfort of being cuddled and being kept in close contact to an adult.
It’s all a question of making every endeavour to provide your offspring with reassurance.
Regularly smile and make cooing noises and talk to your baby.
Never leave a baby crying for long spells.
There is no such thing as 'spoiling' babies over their early months of life. Never leave a baby crying for long spells.
Try and make bedtime a happy time. Even young babies start to appreciate having a picture book read to them before they go to sleep. There are many gadgets which make light shows and sounds dedicated to pleasing the ears and eyes of young babies and toddlers. Pretty lights and colours, in the forms of stars and moons, dancing round their bedroom, with lullabies playing, has become a very popular opening gambit, when parents need to leave their baby or child to go to sleep on his/her own for the night.
Music boxes are a tremendous comfort, to young children and babies alike. It helps to settle them, and prevent any crying, once they have been left on their own in the bedroom.
Sounds and pictures are also very beneficial to the whole scenario of the baby’s learning progression. So apart from books and music boxes have good, soothing effects, they also assist in their educational development.
Following settling the baby, for complete peace of mind, remember to switch on the baby alarm before departing from his/her room. Rooms for babies and toddlers should be constantly monitored.
Always consult the experts if you wish to voice any concerns over regular bouts, and/or long spells, of crying. This is especially if you have any suspicions that the baby may be in some sort of pain or other discomfort.
