Childrens Jewellery

Childrens jewellery, otherwise known as kids jewellery, is ‘eye candy’ for many children, especially little girls. An inexpensive ring, with a large and coloured stone made of glass, - or a heavy and silver-plated necklace, - will often catch a little one’s attention more than something of quality.

It is very often necessary to educate, and guide, your child with regards to jewellery. Eventually, he/she will come to realise that “all that glisters is not gold.”

Rings for children are very popular – especially the plain and simple gold rings which can be engraved with your son’s/daughter’s initials. If a children’s ring is considered to be appropriate to present as a surprize gift, - ensure that you have measured the child’s finger in advance of purchase of the ring.

Other popular pieces of children’s jewellery on the market - are the gold or silver chain necklaces and bracelets. These can either be worn just as chains in their own right – or with an addition of a pendant. Childrens pendants come in all shapes, and sizes, and designs. Some contain a precious, or

semi-precious, stone. It is necessary to know the length of chain required for the child before the purchase. Decisions will need to be made regarding the style of link, size of link, and weight of the piece of jewellery. (It is not customary to purchase a very heavy piece of jewellery for a child).

The more intricate styles of the links, the carat of the gold, and the amount of gold or silver in a necklace or bracelet, are all taken into the costing amount by wholesalers and retailers.

Regarding ear-rings, these can range from just a simple pair of silver stud ear-rings (which you may allow your child to wear throughout the week - school rules permitting) to a far wider range of ear-rings which are probably more suitable for a childrens special occasions.

Kids watches have been very popular for many generations – and are still one of the most popular items for children of all ages. Just about every girl/boy on the planet either owns a watch - or would like to own a watch. And there is no reason why a child cannot own several watches - if the parents consider that this is alright for their offspring. As the parent, you may consider it more appropriate for your son/daughter to wear something rather plain during school days – whereas, maybe at weekends, you would permit your child to wear a watch which is slightly more elaborate - or even outrageous.

The beauty of a child’s watch is that it is a very purposeful item – but it can also be a really fun thing to wear for a child.

It is never wise to over indulge a child – but a nice piece of childs jewellery, or a good quality kiddies watch, can provide long lasting pleasure for a youngster – even into their adult years. Childrens necklaces, bracelets, ear-rings and watches - always make ideal gifts for Christmas and birthdays for the youngest members of most families.
