Kisses and Cuddles for Children

Regular shows of affection by parents, like kisses and cuddles and words of affection, are 'a must' for children of all ages. ‘Though as the child matures, he/she is much more likely to push you away if you attempt an affectionate display in front of his/her playmates. This can become particularly noticeable in the school playground or outside the school gates.
This certainly doesn't mean they love you any less. It's the way most children are 'programmed' to act. They don’t like to be embarrassed, in any respect, in front of their mates.
If you start to completely disregard any forms of affection, it may become habit forming. So try to judge when it is the best times to show your love for your offspring.
