Young children, especially, require tactile learning toys. Building bricks are often an excellent start towards paving the way of learning. Doing simple jigsaws and banging pegs through circular holes are also an enjoyable pastime for the very young. Splashing around with paint is great fun if it’s well supervised - and there are also thousands of excellent playthings on the market, any one of which can enrich the life of your offspring.

Reading nursery rhymes and stories to your young offspring, especially early evening before their bed-time, - gives enormous pleasure to the youngest members of a family. It also lets them know that this is their special time with a parent and helps to make them to feel loved and secure.
