Childrens Section Part 8Regular conversations with children are very important. It enables them to develop a good knowledge of language and teaches them to express themselves well. If you’re out and about with your child, point out things of interest and elaborate on the surroundings - whenever your knowledge permits. But always endeavour to make all the verbal information that you’re passing on to sound fun and enjoyable. Both children and adults soon learn to “switch off” from someone who sounds like a “know-all”. Where budget allows, a yearly family holiday together helps to keep a good bond between parents and children.
