Nursery Rhymes and Childrens Stories

Books of all descriptions have the capability of playing a major part in your child's development. Colours, recognition of numbers and words, and counting, can often best be learned from childrens picture books. Nursery rhyme books help to develop memory ability. Younger children adore having childrens stories read out aloud to them. Introducing boys and girls to books, at an early age, often provides the seed for children, to want 'curl up with a good book', throughout their lives.

Reading nursery rhymes and stories to your young offspring, especially early evening before their bed-time, - gives enormous pleasure to the youngest members of a family. It also lets them know that this is their special time with a parent. It assists in bonding and helps to make children to feel loved and secure. It also has the added advantage of helping to settle a child for the night.
